Vehicle model: 2013 Honda Civic Si with premium audio system

 (After installing)

Joying product: JY-UL135N2:
When our customer place order, we have two suggestions:
1. Purchase harness and adapter from third-part, such as PAC, AXXESS.
2. Purchase Joying Civic harness and can-bus decoder, but requires to modify the mainboard.
This customer decides to use our harness and modify mainboard by himself.

Joying Civic harness with can-bus decoder:
Modify Mainboard
Before:

After:

Problems after installation:
1. No audio
2. Steering wheel control doesn't work
So he conatct us again. We suggest to change can-bus protocol in the CarMediaSettings.

Feedback:
I finally have success with this system. Before I changed the canbus settings I went ahead and converted the bare wire to RCA connectors. and I had to move one pin on the harness that wasn't utilized so that I could have power going to the amplifier. After that I connected the unit and changed the settings and everything worked wonderfully. I wanted to thank the engineers for their help and Bella for all your help with this equipment. I can supply some photos as I did snap a few.

Here are installation notes from car owner:

This first part I removed the ground wire to supply the remote turn on circuit for the stock amplifier. This wire gets moved to the other side of the pink wire shown here.

I then cut the cable and connected the orange and black cable to that black cable. After I did that I started cutting the main output connectors from the harness that connects to the radio itself. These I connected to RCA’s to create the low line level out from the radio that the amplifier required. For this I used these RCA adapters.

I then followed these instructions for creating the RCA cable connections with my soldering iron.
After that I connected everything to my car and the speakers started to work. This was great news as I didn’t receive any audio before. The canbus settings I changed to Honda Canbus working on the XP(2012) version. Once I did this the unit realized there was and MCU update and proceeded with the update and after that everything worked. My steering wheel controls for volume and the left and right buttons and source all work. The Bluetooth buttons have yet to work but I haven’t really tried to get them to work yet. The only issue I am running into now is trying to get the rear view camera to display on the headunit and eventually getting the subwoofer connector powered on for the subwoofer in the back.

How Button Light Control Work on JOYING New System Head Unit

Here is JOYING wiring code:

The head unit light control wire marked as "ILL", the color is orange+white.
You need to connect it to your original car light control wire.

Then you can set up dimmer mode through CarMedaiSettings>Backlight control
If you set "Small light control", when you turn on your car lights, the button light will be on, and screen will be dim.
If you set up "Time control", the button light up from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, it's off during the day.

You can adjust brightness level through Settings>Display>Brightness level

Installed in 2011 Chevrolet avalanche car radio 2GB review: Probably the best android radio out there

5.0 out of 5 starsProbably the best android radio out there

So far so good, no lag, screen looks great, radio sounds great. I installed in a 2011 Chevrolet avalanche with the factory amplified Bose system, radio is a little to long so I had to get some angle adapters for the audio cables in the back, and it still stuck out on the passenger side by a hair, almost unnoticeable though, linked below is everything I ordered for the install. The metra dash kit was too small and the scosche kit was a hair to big but it fits ok, so if you take this install on you might want to find a 3rd option. To retain steering wheel controls I had to buy a female 3.5mm jack and hook that between the Pac harness male jack and the key 1 and key 2

Android 2GB RAM Car Radio Review: Fantastic Headunit. So happy with purchase. Will recommend to friends

Brand: JOYING
OS: New Developed Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
CPU: Intel SoFIA 3GR Quad Core
RAM: 2GB; ROM: 32GB
Bluetooth: 4.0

Newest Android Head Unit 2GB RAM Quad Core 1024*600 HD 8 Inches Touch Screen Single Din, easy installation and with added functions

To put it simply this product is awesome. It sounds awesome and it’s got all the functionality that you would expect out of an android radio. My previous radio was a $600 Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. I loved my old radio but after selling my other car I did not want to pay $600 for another one. I decided to pull the trigger on this radio with high hopes it could provide what I want. It delivered whole heartedly. It is sporting full android with a custom interface made by joying. I have tested various apps including Torque Pro, Google music, Waze and other apps that are not available on non-android head units.

Shipping: The shipping speed seemed very reasonable. Only one day slower than it would have been with amazon prime. (central USA, 3 days). Before they shipped out the product they made sure that I had the correct wire harness, and mounting bracket for my vehicle. I’d rate their customer service very well so far.

Wiring: My buddy asked me after he saw this radio if it was difficult to wire compared to a non-android radio. It is exactly the same! No extra wires or extra power, it works just like other radios. It does have 2 USBs attached to the back that you can put somewhere to plug your phone in, also a microphone and GPS antenna. They are not required but can be wired up somewhere
Boot up: You may be worried that since this is android based it could boot up slow. The first time I plugged it in it took almost 20 seconds to turn on. Luckily newer android platforms offer a hibernate mode that is used on this radio. It wakes up within 2 seconds of the car turning on from here on out.

Resolution: The resolution on this is a little low for my taste (I have a galaxy s7e). That being said, it doesn’t look terrible by any means. It looks about the same or maybe a little better than my Pioneer I had before. No android radio offers higher resolution than this one so I will not deduct a star from my review because of this.

Sound Quality: The sound quality of this radio is as expected for a 50w-x4. Sounds good. It has a Triband adjustment, not a 9. Most of the ones that offer a 9 are fake. It also offers fade and balance just like the pioneer I had, in a fancy box GUI.

Reception: there are 18 FM radio presets, and 12 AM radio presets. Reception is good everywhere I have been. I did get a little bit of static inside a parking garage but that is to be expected. Wifi reception is good because of an external antenna. Bluetooth works great on my phone. There is an app so that you can make phone calls, stream music, and various other things from your phone. I downloaded a few dozen gigs of music to the SD card over wifi. It does support 128gb SD card without any issues.

General Usage: The touch screen works nice. It’s not $800 phone quality but it’s not crappy by any means. The volume and other haptic buttons on the side could be a bit more sensitive but with steering wheel controls I’m not bothered by them. Apps boot up pretty quick just like on my phone so switching between the radio and google music is easy.

The screen: If you look through various pictures of the device it looks like the screen can attach to the radio with the top or bottom. Well it can. There are 4 mounting points with 2 screws each to move the screen in any way that will look good in your car.

Conclusion: I really love this radio so far. I think that comparing it to various $600-$800 radios it is worth every penny. I have not encountered any issues with it yet and it feels like a vary refined product. As I get more accessories for it I plan to update this review. I have seen how awesome their dash cam is, it can take a USB 4GLTE dongle, and a backup camera.
This was installed in a 2010 Subaru WRX. Also to anyone wondering; after the initial install this thing boots up in under 2 seconds. It is almost instantly on. it's awesome.

Sound points about amplifier system

Here are some pictures of the factory plugs (2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with Alpine amp ), as you can see, there are only four lines for audio input.

So when you set the fader to Rear, it will have no sound. You need to select "All", then the sound can work well.

And Joying android 5.1 head unit for Jeep Dodge , it comes with a harness which with two connector, one is for basic model, the other one is for model with factory amplifier (with a label of AMP) . Please note this and use the correct connector.

If there is any problem after you installed Joying head unit, please contact us immediately, we will help you solve it.
And in order to solve the problem, we need your help and provide some information of your car. Hope your understanding and cooperation.
